Our School

The Monsenor Romero Charter School seeks to close the achievement gap for urban students in grades 6-8 and equip students for academic success, active community participation and life-long learning.

About our school

Students will demonstrate competence in the core subject areas based on the California state standards at each grade level and will be assessed using all required California state tests as well as classroom assessments, teacher developed assignments, oral presentations, and year-end projects. The school will feature personalized, small learning communities with continuous student-teacher relationships, service learning curriculum and will integrate technology into the classroom. The school will have at least 80% students eligible for federal free or reduced meals.
